Granite is the second hardest stone after diamond and is therefore an extremely durable material. Granite is magmatic intrusive rocks consisting mainly of quartz with granular structure and crystals of various dimensions and colours. Granite has high resistance to abrasion, compression and pollution.
Thanks to its excellent chemical, physical and mechanical properties granite is a proper material for high-traffic areas as well an exterior claddings and floors.
Available in polished (high glossy), flamed (antique rough) or honed (smooth and matt), with the advantage that its hard surface finishing remains basically unchanged. Granite is very hard, resists scratching and needs minimal grouting joints.
Granite comes in an amazing array of colors and textures. Granite tiles are available in various sizes and thicknesses and are used for indoor and outdoor applications for flooring, cladding walls, stairs or kitchens. Some granites have a quite spectacular appearance and are used for their visual impact, such as on facades.
